Fibromyalgia,
also called
fibromyalgia
syndrome
(FMS), is a
long-term
condition that
causes pain
all over the
body. FMS is
reported to
affect between
1 and 4% of
the
population.
Fibromyalgia
can develop at
any age,
including
childhood, and
there does not
appear to be
any variation
in prevalence
with regard to
country,
culture or
ethnic group.
As
well as
widespread
pain, people
with
fibromyalgia
may also have:

(known as

such as
problems with
memory and
